Best Practices and Model Policies
The journey to world-class safety on construction jobsites begins with the pledge to maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace.
The Construction Coalition for a Drug- and Alcohol-free Workplace (CCDAFW) is helping companies take that step by offering resources on substance abuse policies, testing procedures, disciplinary policies and various state/local laws relating to substance abuse testing requirements and regulations, in addition to model policies, which are written to allow contractors the ability to edit each section to comply with state and local laws.
CCDAFW was founded by Associated Builders and Contractors, the Associated General Contractors of America, the Construction Industry Round Table, the Construction Users’ Roundtable and Women Construction Owners & Executives. The coalition now includes the Construction Industry Round Table, Construction Users Roundtable, Independent Electrical Contractors, NCCER and the National Demolition Association.
