During the continually evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the NDA is committed to keeping the demolition industry up to speed on issues impacting jobsite safety. The Construction Industry Safety Council (CISC) has again revised the COVID-19 Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan for Construction. The updates in Version 3 of the plan include some important changes and additions as federal government guidance has evolved, including revisions the following sections of the plan:
- Symptoms of COVID-19;
- Screening questions for jobsite visitors;
- Guidance on the use of face coverings;
- Guidance on Jobsite Exposure Situations;
- Information on when to Record a COVID-19 Case on the OSHA 300 Log; and
- COVID-19 Checklist for Employers and Employees.
The revised language in the plan is shown in RED font. In addition, we hope to have the Spanish Version 3 to you soon.
Included in the plan is two letters: Essential Industry Employees who are traveling to construction jobsites and Employee Notification if a confirmed case of COVID-19 occurs at work, as well as a COVID-19 Checklist for Employers and Employees and a COVID-19 toolbox training talk.
