Struck-by incidents are a leading cause of injuries and fatalities in the construction industry. In an effort to combat this, the NORA Construction Sector Council has undertaken a number of initiatives to improve awareness of work zone safety and ways to prevent struck-by incidents, including launching a National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-By Incidents and establishing an online source for information on the Stand-Down, as well as training materials, toolbox talks, and other resources that can be used for the Stand-Down and all year long. Join us during National Work Zone Awareness Week for this first National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-by Incidents, which is being held virtually to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our panel of experts will answer your questions about struck-by hazards in work zones and provide practical information that stakeholders can use on their job sites to prevent incidents.
